TWINS! They seriously amaze me. Especially boy/girl twins. Especially twins as cute as Reagan & Teddy. These two were JUST in their momma's belly! Crazy!!! Anyways, I love it. It was a pleasure working with this family. Check out some of my favorites:

Brielle's mom contacted me from Colorado and asked if she could book me for a session while she was visiting New York. Of course I had to squeeze her in! Garden sessions are my favorite! I still believe that the child should be the main subject in any image. I don't like when the person I photograph gets lost in a background. But a garden provides such beautiful colors and shapes. I have so much fun editing outdoor images, and I feel that I can really get creative and be "me". Check out some of my favorites from my session with Brielle. Round2. Several of my clients are on their second baby. I love putting the baby in the same bucket as their older sibling was in at that age. I love photographing the children together. Kai and Mason are two of the most adorable little boys I've ever seen! It was so wonderful working with them. I'm obsessed with Mason's lips and the peach fuzz and his beautiful features....Here are some of my favorites from our session! I just love photographing first communions. I love the age group- it's my favorite. (Ok, if you just read my post below, you are probably confused or calling me a liar). But I used to teach this age group and I just love working with elementary school kids! (I think it's safe to say that I just really love working with people of all ages... newborn ->some adults, haha). Maria is just so beautiful and it was great working with her! Check out these photos from her special day! When I met my husband, he told me that he worked with teenagers. Being an elementary school teacher at the time, I thought... "That's nice". But I was always afraid of teenagers. I knew that I could never ever work with them. Fast forward seven years later, I now volunteer for him and cannot get enough of these High School kids! First of all... they are SO FUN Like so much more fun than people my age. I laugh SO HARD when I am with them and seriously would love to hang out with them every night (we practically do!) Anyways... Ali's mom heard that I was a photographer and called me in a panic just days before her daughter's Sweet 16. She hadn't booked a photographer and knew she needed to capture her daughter in her dress and all made up on her special night! Every part of me was screaming "no!" I am SO BOOKED UP and I had a huge event the night before. But I couldn't say no. (That's a serious problem that I have!) and I knew that it would be so much fun to work with a sixteen year old. Ali is amazing! I wish I had more time with her! Even though we had just met, I felt like we've always knew each other. Anyways... check out some of my favorite images from our mini session together. Thank you Ali, for choosing me to be your photographer! You are gorgeous!!! xxx Jen Nicholas is one of the tiniest, cutest, peanuts I've ever photographed. And what a great session we had!! I just love the sibling love in these photos!! Isabella, age 2, and I got acquainted over Dora, and then she let me start photographing her. I just love the expression on this little girl's face! There is just so much joy and knowing that I've captured the joy in this family, makes ME so happy! Take a look! Beautiful. If I could sum up this photo session with one word, it would have to be beautiful. Everything about it. Beautiful garden, beautiful family, beautiful girl... Adriana is an angel. She was a PLEASURE to photograph!! Such a good girl~ This spring, I offered mini sessions with live chicks. I was asked the question, 'What did you do with the chicks?' many many times. Here's the story: One of my clients who I photographed last spring, booked me for another spring session now that her daughter is a year older. I knew that I had to offer something different this year... so... chicks! But what do I DO with them??? I threw the idea out to my family one day, and my father-in-law did not hesitate to offer to take them when I was done with them! YOU HAVE TO SEE WHAT HE BUILT (a photos inserted here would be great to tell the story BUT... I didn't take one)... He built the most AMAZING coop in his backyard to house these chickies. It has vents, electricity, a "pen" area (Ok, I don't know what these things are called), and compartments to lift and stick your hand in to gather eggs. He did such a great job with it! So know, that these little chicks are enjoying their new home. This day of mini sessions was great! Check out some of my favorites! This is my own little love bug. My baby, Lucas. He is 7 months old now... so hard to believe. Time flies sooo quickly! Can i just tell you... photographing your own is SUCH a challenge! "Lucas, look at mommy"- he looks everywhere else. I swear, it took HUNDREDS of photos for me to even get a couple of him looking at me. He thinks my husband is absolutely hilarious. Nobody can make him laugh like he can. If you ever see a photo of Luke laughing, you should know that my husband is standing behind me, making "elephant noises". I just love my little boy and I'm loving that he can now sit up for photos!!! :) Check out some of my favorites from our own spring session... Oh my. I fell in love with August. His expressions are absolutely adorable! Check out this cutie pie!!! |
