It was so amazing to see TJ because last time I saw mom, I was photographing him in her belly! Don't know if you remember the maternity post with the dad who is a cop. But we had some fun with his handcuffs during this photo shoot. TJ is such a precious little boy!

I'm back!! Happy 2011 everyone! I'm so excited for this new year. I have many new ideas, new props, A NEW CAMERA (thanks to my amazing husband!) and new clients that I am all very excited about. And I can't think of a better way to start off this new year than with Anna. She is such a sweet baby girl. I had such a great time photographing Anna with her parents. I included a photo at the end of this post of the view from their home in Freeport. Thank you to Anna's parents for encouraging me to get out there and shoot some scenes before I went home. I got some good ones!! Oh, and by the way. I know I have a problem with just selecting "A FEW" favorites. i'm working on this. For now you're left with more of a "BUNCH". Enjoy! John Joseph was such a fun baby to work with! He was full of smiles and yawns. I swear, everytime I look at one of his sleepy yawning photos I yawn too. No joke, it happened all through the editing process. Ask my husband. JJ got to model my new football hat prop and he was the first baby that I photographed with my new PRO D700 CAMERA! Whooo! His parents were a lot of fun to work with and we all had a great time. Check out some of my favorites! What a beauty! We learned the remedy for a baby that won't sleep... put her in a bucket! But remember to pose her, ooh and ahh, and take LOTS of photos!! Kai is such a cute lil' guy! I love how his dad incorporated the surf board into our photo shoot. And the santa hat?! How cute!! Savannah modeled beautifully during our photoshoot. Mom had beautiful fabrics, ideas, and props for our session. I especially loved all of Savannah's headbands and hats! She's a stylish one, that baby! Here are some highlights... (click on each to enlarge)
Beautiful Faith. She's 14 days old and is such a little peanut! My favorites are the pictures of her with the knit rose hat, appropriate for her middle name. Her mom explained that the Rose was a meaningful symbol that spoke to her for many years. I've never seen a father take such a big part in a photo shoot. He had great ideas and really wanted to be involved- which totally payed off! These first time parents were so excited about their baby girl- it was all over their faces :) Faith's mom is a beautiful singer/ musician. I love that she wanted to incorporate some instruments in our photo session. singing with her mommy at two weeks old. love it. Had the privilege of photographing Gracie, eleven days old. What a cutie! Mom had some "special" props to add to our photo session which made the photos even more meaningful. And we got smiles from Gracie to show her approval. The paisley napkin included in this photo was from mom's baby shower. The bucket that Gracie is comfortably lounging in is from mom and dad's wedding! And this one's for grandma, who loves tea! This cup may be a little "too sweet"! Smiles, smiles, smiles :) Baby Gabriella is one day shy of a month old. What a cutie pie!! And I swear, there was not one bad family picture! Not one blink from any of the four family members. Gabriella is a natural... taking after her big sister. It was a pleasure photographing this family and I'm looking forward to our Christmas photo session!
Today I photographed a beautiful 11-day old and it was so much fun!! I can't thank Lisa and Mike enough for allowing me to "practice" using their newborn. They were SUCH good sports :) But speaking of good sport, Michael Anthony was AMAZING. He was having so much fun, that he wanted to stay awake for the whole session! After a bottle and a good rockin in the chair, Michael finally decided to go to sleep and then we had some fun posing his little body into baskets and hats and with baseballs and pumpkins, oh my!
