Ok.  This is going to be a personal one.  If you don't like reading mushy kinda stuff, stop here.
Four years ago today, I married the most wonderful man.  We have had another incredible year... I am the luckiest. 
I am so grateful for these four years.  They have taught me so much.  I've learned to be more patient.  I've learned to slow down a bit (ok, a lot.  I take naps now!).  I've learned that I like (understatement, LOVE) working with teenagers.  I've learned that the best Saturday afternoon is when it's just "us" and the dog.  And I've learned all of this (and more!) from my husband.  
This is our last anniversary without a child.  I suspect that things will change a lot.  But I know that we will be ok.  In fact, Craig is going to be the best father, ever!  And if you know him personally, then I'm sure you will agree.

As much as I love photographing newborns and families, I'm always excited when my work allows me to be a part of something new and different.  Even though i've only been pursuing photography (as a "job") for less than a year, my work is already on two cd covers!  I've even photographed a new author for her first novel.  How exciting?!

Savannah Willow.  What a name!  Isn't it gorgeous?!  So fitting for such a gorgeous baby.  Her parents were SUCH a joy to work with.  Their joy for their little girl was all over their faces!  I LOVE the shot of Savannah in the bunny ears! Hysterical.  I laugh out loud every time I see it.  That girl did NOT like hats!  And I love the rolls on her belly as she is curled up in the bucket.  Precious. 

Ahhh! Spring is in the air!  The weather here in NY can't seem to make up her mind.  Sandwiched between days of snow and the "wintery mix" were beautiful 70 degree days!  Any opportunity that I can take photos outside in perfect light and I'm there!  Thank God Jamisyn & Savannah's mom and I were on the same page.  With a change of plans, we met at one of my favorite go-to spots and got some beautiful spring photos of this gorgeous family! Now if only the temperature would rise up another 40 degrees again... 

Valentina and Guiseppe's mom contacted me to take photographs of her children in their holiday outfits: past and present.  So we got a little bit of this and a little bit of that.  And through all of the outfit changes, these children continued to smile like it was their job!  Guiseppe and I talked all about his favorite Disney characters.  And what a charmer he is!  These children were a pleasure to photograph.  We had so much fun together! 

The hair!  The lips!  I can't get over how beautiful this little guy is!!  Soo perfect!!  I don't know if it's because I have Spring on the brain, but I swear this baby reminded me of a little chick- especially when he was wrapped in yellow, with his spiked hair sticking out.  Love it! 
Mom pulled out some old props to go along with my ol' little red wagon, adding to the uniqueness of the shot.  Oh man, just check out how cute he is!!! 

John Robert.  What a sweetie! His mom and dad were such pros with their first newborn (must be mom's expertise as a teacher), and we all marveled at his little chicken-like, 6 day old body.  And I also love the look of the baby with dad's tattoos.  I also fell in love with their dog Butchie- I've always wanted a Bull dog of my very own.  So thankful I had the opportunity to photograph this little guy! 
Also, I wanted to thank Mike "Divo" my assistant who came with me on this job.  Mike will be accompanying me on all future jobs to help with carrying all of the props that I bring since I'm PREGNANT! 
Anyways, more news on that later.  I'm still taking jobs through June by the way.  So thanks Mike!
