Anyways, here are some of my favorites from my session with Lara!
I just love taking maternity photos and reminiscing about when I was pregnant (I think I say this every time I write a pregnancy blog entry... or i think it, at least). I really enjoy the editing process too. I had a lot of fun with these. I just LOVE body tattoos, especially Lara's! She is SO CLOSE to delivery and was such a good sport as I had her trekking around outside in the cold (she actually told me that she was in early labor upon my arrival!) I'm glad she made it through our session. Can't wait to find out if she has a boy or a girl! (I'll never understand how people have the patience to wait.... I wish that could be me!) Anyways, here are some of my favorites from my session with Lara!

This was my first maternity session since having a baby of my own. I have a greater appreciation of what it's like to be pregnant. I like to think that I know what the mother feels like as she is carrying her precious cargo. I like to think that I kinda know what feels flattering and what photographs I would burn if I ever saw them in print of my own pregnant body. But I also know what it's like to want to capture this special time. It's only been four months since I've been pregnant and I already can't remember what that time was like. It's hard to believe that I already forgot what it felt like to be pregnant for nine months! (I guess that's good news to a lot of women out there!) But I also treasure my own maternity photos so much! In fact, it was just the other day that I looked up from the THOUSANDS of photos I already have of my son, and went back to my own maternity photos. I framed a few and sadly remembered that special time. Of course, now I have a son and he is so much fun to play with, but I miss my "buddy" who I carried with me everywhere. I miss feeling him moving around and yes, I even miss his jabs into my ribs. Oh dear... I sound like I may be ready for another one?!?! Anyways, this is Ann Marie. She is BEAUTIFUL and was SO much fun to work with! I mean, I think we could all dream of looking like Ann Marie at nine months! I am so excited to meet her beautiful girl in just a few weeks! Baby number two. Tracy is a trooper. You may not know from looking through these photos that it was quite chilly out. She braved it, for sure! We walked through trails, down to the beach, up and down hills, had several outfit changes, and Tracy "carried" (literally) on. A beautiful family, awaiting no.2. Can't wait to meet him/her at our newborn session! Melissa and her husband are soon welcoming their first baby boy into the world. Dad is a NYC cop and we had fun incorporating that theme into our photoshoot. They were a great couple to work with and I look forward to meeting TJ for our newborn shoot! |
