I've had the pleasure of photographing several Christenings/Baptisms/Dedications (they're all the same thing, right?) "Getting ready" brings me back to my wedding.  The gown, the shoes.. Did you know that they even make socks and onesies with crosses?  I didn't know this!  In any event, I loved photographing these special events! It's pretty cool to see how different families choose to dedicate their child to the Lord; whether it's traditionally in a church or informally in a rose garden.  

Kai is such a cute lil' guy! I love how his dad incorporated the surf board into our photo shoot.  And the santa hat?! How cute!!

Baby number two.  Tracy is a trooper.  You may not know from looking through these photos that it was quite chilly out.  She braved it, for sure!  We walked through trails, down to the beach, up and down hills, had several outfit changes, and Tracy "carried" (literally) on.  A beautiful family, awaiting no.2.  Can't wait to meet him/her at our newborn session! 

Melissa and her husband are soon welcoming their first baby boy into the world. Dad is a NYC cop and we had fun incorporating that theme into our photoshoot.  They were a great couple to work with and I look forward to meeting TJ for our newborn shoot!

Aaron & Arianna were so much fun to photograph playing in the leaves and climbing in trees.  I learned that you can get a kid to do anything... if you offer gum.  

what a great photo session!! These kids just love their grandparents so much!  I got some great smiles from the little ones, ya know how?!? By being called "stinky feet" a thousand times!  They just cracked themselves up calling me "stinky feet".  So cute.  I didn't mind at all- look at these shots!

Ok.  If I could work for any company in NYC, the Hotlist would be at the top of my list.  Co-founders Chris & Gianni invited me into their NYC office to capture the essence of the company.  Boy, was it a lot of fun!

today I had a mini photo session with my friend Stephanie.  She showed me a "new" park that I never knew existed and is practically in walking distance from my house (I'm bad!).  We had a good time- she's a beautiful person on the inside and out.  I love how her personality comes through in a lot of these photos.  You can see her strength and passion.  Thanks, Steffie :) for allowing me to photograph you! I love you!!

Tonight is when I first realized that my 10 month old nephew has quite the personality. We played.  I held up my camera, he smiled.  I held up my camera again, he smiled again. And so on and so on.  The kid is a fast learner- he learned how to play Aunt Jen's favorite game.  In the end, I got great picture after great picture.
