Spencer arrived for his photoshoot and was ready to have some fun! He's just a "boy" and was just a blast to photograph. When dad threw him around, it made for some great pics! As I find myself browsing though the photographs from this session, I keep finding that I have a big smile on my face- Spencer's smile is definitely contagious! (click on each photo to enlarge).

Gorgeous Malia. She is the happiest baby. Seriously- she doesn't stop smiling, especially when she looks at her daddy. Here are a few of my favorites from our photo session.
Beautiful Faith. She's 14 days old and is such a little peanut! My favorites are the pictures of her with the knit rose hat, appropriate for her middle name. Her mom explained that the Rose was a meaningful symbol that spoke to her for many years. I've never seen a father take such a big part in a photo shoot. He had great ideas and really wanted to be involved- which totally payed off! These first time parents were so excited about their baby girl- it was all over their faces :) ![]() Faith's mom is a beautiful singer/ musician. I love that she wanted to incorporate some instruments in our photo session. ![]() singing with her mommy at two weeks old. love it. Today I photographed our niece, Kyla for her three year old pictures and boy, was it fun! It's pretty special photographing a child who is already very comfortable with you.... makes for some really great shots. She was super cooperative and did whatever I told her to do! She did ask the occasional "why?" like when I asked her to climb up onto the picnic table as I straddled her. But needless to say, I got some great shots. She is a beauty!!! Notice Kyla with her baby, affectionally called "baby garbage". Great story- something to do with a rescue out of the garbage can. It was a bit traumatic but Kyla makes sure that Baby Garbage accompanies her everywhere so that it never happens again!
Had the privilege of photographing Gracie, eleven days old. What a cutie! Mom had some "special" props to add to our photo session which made the photos even more meaningful. And we got smiles from Gracie to show her approval. ![]() The paisley napkin included in this photo was from mom's baby shower. ![]() The bucket that Gracie is comfortably lounging in is from mom and dad's wedding! ![]() And this one's for grandma, who loves tea! This cup may be a little "too sweet"! ![]() Smiles, smiles, smiles :) Baby Gabriella is one day shy of a month old. What a cutie pie!! And I swear, there was not one bad family picture! Not one blink from any of the four family members. Gabriella is a natural... taking after her big sister. It was a pleasure photographing this family and I'm looking forward to our Christmas photo session!
For my birthday, I got the most beautiful day of the year! What better way to spend an amazing autumn day than on the North Fork at a vineyard?!? Sometimes I forget how spectacular Long Island can be... Ok ok, and besides getting an awesome gift from God (the beautiful day), I got a bike (check out the hilarious photo below of my dog chasing the bike), NEW CAMERA LENSES!! (from my amazing family), and some other fabulous gifts from friends, including a "Nespresso" espresso-maker to feed my addiction. Cafe Americano's anyone?? Am I blessed or what?!? Thanks everybody!! ![]() and to continue the birthday festivities, I got a DELICIOUS homecooked meal made by my friend Corinne. She's a closet-chef. I'm not supposed to tell anybody. And the most DELICIOUS cupcakes made by Nicole. Not too sweet and all-natural... just the way I like it. Thanks ladies!! Today is my birthday. I was born on my parent's wedding anniversary. When I was a young girl, I used to throw away their anniversary cards that were sent in the mail because it was "my day". What a brat!
Happy anniversary to my parents. Thank you for being a wonderful example. Love you! |
