I'm still here... I promise!
Those of you who regularly follow my blog may be wondering where I have been. You heard my announcement that I am having another baby, and then it seems that I have fallen off the face of the earth. Part of me must blame being an almost-mommy-of-two. My second is due to arrive at any moment...(It's my self-prescribed bed-rest that is actually allowing me to write this entry right now). My shooting, editing, creating, mailing, other job, volunteering, pregnancy, and being a mom of an active one year old, leaves me little time to blog these days. I remain active on facebook though, and I find that it is through my facebook page (photos by jlm) that my clients communicate with me most. It is on my facebook page, that I post announcement and my recent work. Why? It's just easier and it's where many of YOU are! Plus, most of you like that I share teasers of our sessions for you to tag yourself and share with your own family and friends. So if you haven't "liked" my facebook page yet, do it NOW! (See the "f" at the top-right-hand-corner of this page? Just click on that and it will bring you to my page!) I will be sharing my where-abouts and keep you updated through my facebook page. There will be some changes coming to JLM Photography. One that I am sure of is that I will be making the switch from mailing your photos on a disc to now sending a flash drive. That's right, folks! I'm keeping up with the times!!! (Or, I'm trying at least!) Stay tuned (on my facebook page), for more announcements!! Happy 2013! I am so thankful for all of you and for allowing me to share my passion of photography & people with you!! Here's to another great year! Alexander is sooo stinkin gorgeous! His big blues, and beautiful lips.... he's one good-lookin-kid! Check out some of my faves! Twins, twins, twins. I'm tellin ya, there's been SO MANY twins lately! And take a look at THESE cuties! Meet Blake & Brandon... Mother's Day, 2012: "Everybody say, 'CHEESE'!" "Ok. Good. Now everybody say, 'JEN'S PREGNANT AGAIN'!" ... as I snap away.... This was the way I decided to break our *big news* to our family in May that baby #2 is on it's way! But before you all freak out about Holiday photos this year, let's consider a few things:
1. Booking Holiday Photos in the fall gives us the opportunity to shoot outside which is my absolute FAVORITE!! 2. We can get beautiful fall colors. 3. We can bring some christmas props onto the beach (how's THAT for "different"?) 4. NO STRESS!!! Get your holiday cards done EARLY and have them out ON TIME! 5. More time for your Holiday Shopping, less time worrying about photos in an-already-crazy-season. Are you convinced yet that this can be a GOOD THING?!? Get your holiday session booked before November 1st. Email me for an appointment: photosbyjlorem@gmail.com I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most beautiful baby boys... meet Santino Vincent. It was such a pleasure photographing these little cuties! My heart just melts when I work with twins... especially boy/girl twins. I just love the way they mush into each other. It's such a natural thing. Oh, and what a small world. Grandma walks into the house to visit our photo session. We look at each other and we're like, "I know you!" You look so familiar!" We used to teach together several years ago! So crazy. So while waiting for the babies to drift off into a deep sleep, we reminisced... Check out some of my favorites from this session. Brayden's mom booked me after I took a photo of her bun. She was in a wedding that I attending and I took a photo of her hair. It looked so pretty. She told me that she had to find out who took that photo.. which led her to me. Well, thank God I took that photo of her bun, or I would have never had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous little boy. Oh my goodness... mom is going to have SUCH a hard time choosing favorites from our session. I know I did! I have never seen a child smash a cake as well as Brayden did. He literally smashed it to the ground and had such a good time doing it. It was great. And I continued to get one great photograph after the next. |
