Two of our best friends got engaged this weekend! It was so incredible being a part of this special moment that we have all anticipated for a very long time.
Chris did such a great job planning a perfect proposal in Central Park, New York. He asked me to take photographs of the whole thing to capture the moment. Umm, OF COURSE! Photograph one of my best friends getting engaged?!? Yes please!
So, Craig and I followed the two alongside the bank of the lake, while Chris smoothly rowed Lauren under bridges and past fountains, keeping her back to us the whole time. At one point, I turned to my husband and jumping up and down exclaimed "I am having so much fun!". I felt like a private detective (or a creeper) and loved every second of it.
Chris gave us "the signal" and then he asked Lauren to marry him. I just snapped away. SO FUN. Lauren did not know we were there the whole time.
We all surprised Lauren at the beautiful Carlyle Hotel, in a bar painted with scenes by the illustrator of the Madeline books!
We couldn't be happier for our friends. Congratulations Lauren & Chris! Can't wait for the wedding!!
