Brayden's mom booked me after I took a photo of her bun. She was in a wedding that I attending and I took a photo of her hair. It looked so pretty. She told me that she had to find out who took that photo.. which led her to me. Well, thank God I took that photo of her bun, or I would have never had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous little boy. Oh my goodness... mom is going to have SUCH a hard time choosing favorites from our session. I know I did! I have never seen a child smash a cake as well as Brayden did. He literally smashed it to the ground and had such a good time doing it. It was great. And I continued to get one great photograph after the next. Brielle's mom contacted me from Colorado and asked if she could book me for a session while she was visiting New York. Of course I had to squeeze her in! Garden sessions are my favorite! I still believe that the child should be the main subject in any image. I don't like when the person I photograph gets lost in a background. But a garden provides such beautiful colors and shapes. I have so much fun editing outdoor images, and I feel that I can really get creative and be "me". Check out some of my favorites from my session with Brielle. Beautiful. If I could sum up this photo session with one word, it would have to be beautiful. Everything about it. Beautiful garden, beautiful family, beautiful girl... Adriana is an angel. She was a PLEASURE to photograph!! Such a good girl~ Ok. I'm sitting here, totally freaking out, as I'm editing these photos. No joke, my heart is racing and I've had a huge smile on my face for the past two hours... my face hurts. I know that sounds dramatic and all, but it's the truth. Why, you may ask?? Because this little guy, Nicholas is SO DELICIOUS I don't even know what to do!!!!! I KNOW that you will look at these photos and agree! Forget the cupcake... I want to eat his face!!! You HAVE TO check out adorable little Nicholas as he celebrates his first birthday: I consider it a PRIVILEGE to photograph such beautiful children! John Robert is one of those... I'm obsessed with his hair and his beautiful skin. And it was sooooo amazing to see this "little" guy all grown up, since I haven't seen him since his newborn photo shoot a year ago. I was DYING while editing each of these photos of this handsome guy..... This cutie was such a cooperative guy, especially since he wasn't feeling well. Give him a xylophone or anything that makes music, and he just lights up!! Let's hear it for my last cake smash in 2011! I just love cake smashes! I love predicting each child's approach. Will they smash their whole face in? Will they just go for it? Are the feet going in? Will this be a whole body-covering experience? Jamisyn, at age two, somehow "modeled" every single pose as she delicately ate her cake. These two beautiful girls are always a joy to work with. It's been so much fun watching them grow and I am so thankful for all of the opportunities that their parents give me to photograph them. It's crazy to think that I was just meeting Savannah at her newborn session just 9 months ago... I think that these girls are going to really enjoy looking back at these pictures when they are older. How can you not laugh?! Never have I wound up with so many favorites! Well, maybe I have. I know I'm really bad at picking and choosing which photos to post, but this time, it was especially hard. There are just SO SO many! So, I'm a dog lover, but I'm really a boxer breed lover. My husband and I always say that when we get a big enough house, we will get a boxer. And if anybody needs to be sold on why boxers are the most precious dogs, especially with kids, then check out these photos of Jacob with his dog. I mean, really. Soo cute! And I'm going to insert a little advertisement here for my friend Christina's business. You will notice in these pictures that Jacob is holding a number 1.
