See You at the Pole, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.
See You at the Pole is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
I am SOO stinkin proud of the students who stood boldly at our High School's flagpole this morning. It really takes a lot to stand before their whole school and their peers to pray to God. I bet most adults would not have the courage that many of these High School students displayed this morning. It was truly an honor to stand at the pole with the captain of the football team, the christian club, members of Campus Life, and other "curious" students, and listen to their hearts as they prayed in unity to God.
